In alignment with the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, Juan aims to improve the lives of children and families in need through financial support, volunteerism, thought leadership and collaboration with community partners. He stands behind finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Juan also supports Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer. These organizations are dedicated to alleviating the uncertainty and isolation felt by families facing childhood cancer through support, education, and services.
Juan is also proud to serve on the Board of Managers for the Westside Family YMCA.
Juan is proud to support Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times®
Northwestern Mutual – West Los Angeles, through its Foundation, presented Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times®, a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, with a $30,000 grant on behalf of our Associate Wealth Management Advisor, Scott Cohen. Scott is a recipient of the Most Exceptional Community Service Award. The annual program honors the company's financial professionals for extraordinary volunteer work. The grant was presented on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® Annual Walk for Kids.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California is dedicated to creating a positive, lasting impact on children with cancer and their families through year-round camp programs. Scott Cohen has volunteered with the organization's Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times for 10 years, serving most prominently as a cabin counselor and member of the camp interview committee. Each year, Northwestern Mutual honors 16 financial professionals throughout the country who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to volunteer organizations within their communities. A total of $295,000 has been donated through this year's program.
